Matariki kite! Again. but better

Today, I made a better blog post. I made my matariki kite blog post, but better!.
This blog post has better writing, more punctuation and better everything. I made my introduction/hook in. To make a good blog post you need a couple things. You need, A catchy title. A good introduction/hook in. a DLO (aka) a digital learning object. you need to reflect on what you did, what you enjoyed, and other stuff like that. then you put your sources. I put the mangapapa room 2 site because that's where the photo is from.
and the last one is ask a question.

The Museum

Last week, we went to the museum. We met a nice lady called auntie. We walked inside and she showed us what enviro arts was. Enviro arts is where you use things from the environment to make art! she showed us what gisborne looked like now, and what it looked like then. there was moa birds, seals, and other stuff.  we did a treasure hunt after that. there was six things that we had to find, I forgot what they were called, but oh well. we saw guns that were given to us by captain cook, and we learned a lot of stuff.
We learned that the kahu kuri is made out of dog skin, pretty sad😢😢😢
that dog died only for a cloak. We also learned that captain cook gave gifts to the maoris, he gave a gun, and that's all i remember. I enjoyed the treasure hunt and learning things.
The treasure hunt was fun, ive done the treasure hunt so many times. I am still wondering why they killed a dog to make a cloak.

The Drawing That Rotates.

Do you know what transformation is? Well we were learning about it just the other day. We were learning about geometry and transformation. Our learning asset was Whaiwhakaaro, and we learned to create using the four elements of transformation. What are the four elements of transformation you may ask? Well they all involve transformation, of course. Their names are Translation, Rotation, Reflection, and Enlargement. Translation means it moves side to side or up or down, Reflection means it flips the other way, rotation means it turns around, and enlargement means it gets bigger.

I think I did a good job at making the art because I think it looks pretty cool if you ask me. What did I find hard? I think that thinking of what to draw was hard because I didn't know what to draw. I wonder what can I do to my picture to make it look better?. If you want to make one for your own go on this site.

The Arts My Map

Change Through The Arts

Today I finished my my map I started on Wednesday. My my map is a map that has what the arts are, there were four different arts that we had on our map, we had right what we already knew abouth the different kinds of arts. The arts were, Music, Drama, Dancing, and Visual arts. We did it because we were trying to do our first thinking. I learned that art isn't just pictures and paintings but it's also dance music visual arts and drama. I enjoyed making the map. I am wondering if there are more arts other than, Music, Dance, Drama, And Visual arts.

Te Atua

We were learning about the atua gods.

Our learning asset was Kaikorero.   I found it easy to find the pictures of the atua and there connections.
I found it hard to pronounce there names because they were in maori.  Next time I would try to add some colour to my background.

My epic! Kite

Have you ever made a Matariki kite? well I have, and here it is. I enjoyed colouring with the pastels. it was the funnest part, I also liked drawing the stars I drawed stars at the top. korus at the bottom, and a cool mountain. The stars at the top are the matariki stars, if you didn't know. I didn't like that the korus mixed with the background colours. My kite is made with pastels, and black dye, the black dye is for the sky, and the pastels is made for the ground`
This picture is from our class site were we put all of our photos/learning and other stuff.
what Matariki kite should I try to make next time?

Our Learning assets were Kaiwhakarite, and our reach value was Exellence.
Happy Matariki, Also Happy Holidays!.
